From the Pastor's Desk...Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! As you already know, this is my last pastoral letter, since I will no longer be the pastor of our beautiful Northwest Oklahoma Catholic Churches as of tomorrow, June 28th. Your new pastor will be Father Cristobal de Loera; he is a good friend of mine, and soon will be your shepherd of souls.
It is with pleasure that I announce to you all that we are permitted by Archbishop Coakley to begin coming to Mass without a mask on. In addition, Archbishop Coakley is keenly aware about the on-going health concern caused by the spread of the coronavirus. With this in mind, we will have a space in the back of our churches reserved for those who want to continue to wear a mask at all our Masses. We will continue to do this until it is deemed otherwise, since we want to make our churches as accommodating as possible. With regard to the Saturday 5:00 p.m. Mass at Saint Peter Catholic Church, I will continue to offer it for our Senior-aged parishioners, as well as for those who have compromised immunity systems, until it is deemed otherwise.
You are cordially invited to our Pentecost Vigil this Saturday, May 22nd, from 8:00-9:00 p.m. in Saint Peter Catholic Church. We will have a Eucharistic Holy Hour with a bilingual rosary, as well as private prayer. This will be a time for us to gather in the “Upper Room” with our Blessed Mother Mary and Our Blessed Lord’s Apostles and Disciples.
